MUS12800 — History of Rock and Roll

V This course will bring musical commentary into an historical and social framework as it traces the development of rock music from its roots in country and blues to the most current trends. Throughout the semester the students will work on being able to define characteristics of rock styles and develop the ability to make connections between the popular music of yesterday and today. (Humanities Credit: This course can be used for the Michigan Transfer Agreement).
