CJS20700 — Law Enforcement Communication Fundamentals

V This course will discuss the importance of written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills in Law Enforcement. Students will learn basic terminology and acronyms, gather required information through subject interviews and generate various law enforcement reports, prepare and present individual and group projects and participate in mock media interviews. Students will be introduced to verbal judo, nonverbal cues and cultural, regional and generational differences in communication.
