Jackson College's General Sonography (DMS) program requires students to complete a preclinical lab course (DMS197) on campus before beginning clinical rotations. Clinical placements are determined annually based on site availability and geographic proximity, awarded by points. Students within a 2-hour radius of another CAAHEP-accredited program are encouraged to apply locally. Clinical externships cannot be completed in California due to SARA restrictions.
