The Praticum is a non-paid practical experience in which the student is placed in a medical office, clinic, or hospitl setting under the supervision of a health care practitioner for 180 hours total. The studetn has the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in teh classroom in a real life clinical situation. Depending on the placement, the student may perform medical office duties, coding/billing, or other administrative tasks learned in teh program. The studetn will work with teh Program Director to determine what type of paracticum/placement they woudl prefer.
