Students will build algebraic skills working with linear, polynomial, rational and radical expressions and equations. The course particularly emphasizes graphs and equations of lines, factoring techniques and methods of solving quadratic equations. The mathematics department recommends the pre-requisite not be more than two years old. If the pre-requisite is more than two years old the recommendation is the course placement assessment be taken or the prerequisite be retaken to ensure the success of the student.
