This course introduces the profession of dental hygiene, the dental hygiene code of ethics, principles of infection and exposure control of the CDC Bllodborne Pathogens Standard. Fundamental concepts on dental hygiene process of care including patient management, dental hygiene diagnosis, oral helath educaiton techniques, and disease prevention strategies will be discussed. Additionally, dental instrumentation and oral deposits are discussed.
