In this course, students participate in MLT laboratory training related to immunohematology principles and standard techniques used in blood banking: ABO, RH typing antibody screening, and compatibility testing. The emphasis is on appropriate collection, handling, and testing of specimens in the area of blood banking. In this laboratory course, students recognize technical problems, identify antibodies, and prepare blood components.
