In this course, students explore the background, essential theory, principles, and future of solar thermal systems. Students learn about solar fundamentals, solar water heating systems and components, systems installation, check-out and commissioning procedures, troubleshooting and repair, solar pool heating systems, and code and safety issues. Students practice copper pipe installation and are engaged in designing and installing a small solar thermal system.
