In this course, students explore characteristics, etiology, and prevalence of autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, this course covers the knowledge and skills necessary to support the learning of children with autism spectrum disorders including instructional strategies, classroom organization, and teaming with families and professionals. A field experience component is also required.
