This course will examine the origins and development of secu- rity from medieval England to current times. The concept of security will be covered as a response to and a reflection of so- ciety's structure. This course will cover the various aspects of security to include community, retail, corporate, business, and industrial problems and concerns as well as the governmental and legal aspects of security. The use of security equipment and loss prevention will also be covered.
