OPT 2500 — Contact Lens TheoryI

This course includes a historical review as well as theory; de- sign and optical principle of contact lenses; indications and contraindications for contact lens wear; patient evaluation; dis- cussion of lens types and availability; fundamental techniques and fitting philosophies including the role of the biomicro- scope, keratometer and radiuscope; patient education on care, cleaning, insertion and removal of contact lenses.
