This course provides for the acquisition and application of fun- damental concepts important to the practice of nursing includ- ing those related to patient-centered care, the healthcare environment, and professional nursing practice. Includes care of the stable, acute, and chronically ill adults and elderly pa- tients with a focus on the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in nursing laboratories and clinical setting.
