This course builds upon all previous nursing courses to further refine and apply the concepts of nursing practice to the care of children. This course provides specialized knowledge and skills to care for children from infancy to adolescence while in- troducing concepts of growth and development and exemplars relevant to the pediatric population, including common pediat- ric illnesses and family-centered care. Knowledge and skills are applied in nursing laboratories and a variety of clinical set- tings.
