Provides an introduction to algebra. Topics include basic linear equations and inequalities, properties of real numbers, opera- tions, involving exponents and polynomials, factoring, quad- ratic equations, applications, graphing of linear equations, and an introduction to radical simplification. This course does not satisfy general education requirements in mathematics and is awarded compensatory credit only.
