This course prepares the teacher candidate to set up a class- room, establish classroom policies and procedures, create objec- tive-based lesson plans, use various styles of presentations and teaching strategies, develop and administer various forms of assessment, use the state standards to develop lesson and les- son plans, and establish and maintain cooperative relations with parents. The teacher candidate will learn to research pro- fessional literature to seek best practices and to hone the craft of effective instruction.
