This developmental course offers integrated reading and writ- ing instruction. It is designed to prepare students for success- ful completion of college-level courses requiring intensive reading and writing. Skills taught focus on improving literal and critical comprehension, vocabulary, and essay writing skills. The connection between reading and writing is rein- forced through reading response opportunities.
