This dental assisting program course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and clinical practice necessary for the dental assistant to perform the expanded functions per- mitted by the rules and regulations of the Florida state board of dentistry. This course also includes instruction on the his- tory of orthodontics, malocclusion, orthodontic vocabulary, photographs, bracket slot, wires, tooth movement, and all phases of bonding, wires, headgear, and retainer finishing.
