Elementary level modern dance training is for those with entry level skills in modern dance. The course will offer students the opportunity to develop an understanding of the basic princi- ples and concepts of modern dance technique through several movement experiences and explorations. Students explore and develop awareness of body alignment, dance vocabulary, self- awareness, coordination, strength and musicality. Attendance at and written critiques of dance performances provide an en- hanced view of the scope of the dance field. This course may be taken twice for credit.
