CVT 1220 — Cardiovascular Pharmacology

This course is designed to provide the cardiovascular technol- ogy student with a foundation of the pharmacology needed to function in clinical experiences. This includes classifications of medications, modes of action, indications, contraindications, and their effect on the cardiovascular system and cardiac pa- tients. The course also prepares the student to recognize basic cardiac arrhythmias, understand basic radiographic theory, safety protection, and cardiac catheterization laboratory equip- ment.
