CNT 1401 — Introduction to Network Security

Basic computer and network security theory, concepts and ter- minology are presented. The CIA triad, basic threats, intrusion techniques, vulnerabilities and their various counter measures are included. Students will also discuss ethical behaviors and basic security practices for authentication, encryption and se- cure network topologies.
