ANT 2511 — Introduction to Biological Anthropology

This course will trace the origins of humanity from very early primates through extinct hominins to arrive at modern people. Students in this course will learn the basics of evolutionary theory and genetics, investigate human evolutionary history through the fossil record, observe contemporary non-human primates, and apply this knowledge to a bio-cultural under- standing of human variation, past and present.
