AML 2600 — African-American Literature

Provides an overview of African-American literature and cul- tural expression in the United States from the pre discursive period to the present. Through reading, discussion, lectures, and films the historical forces that have influenced the voice of African-American literature will be discussed. The politics of African-American literature will also be explored.
