Social Workers help individuals and families cope with problems and serious conflicts such as homelessness, unemployment, lack of job skills, substance abuse, child or spousal abuse, and divorce. Through direct counseling, social workers help clients bring their concerns into the open and consider solutions or find resources. This Associate Degree program is transferable to a 4-year university. Required Humanities courses must come from at least two disciplines; the two General/Lab Science courses must come from two different disciplines with at least one including a laboratory experience.

Prerequisites: Students should work closely with the transfer coordinator and intended transfer institution to select relevant coursework, Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree for employment, Specialization in a specific field may be required
