MTH 120 — Finite Mathematics

This course is designed primarily for students in business and the social and life sciences. It builds algebraic skills while emphasizing applications and mathmematical modeling. It deals with problems in the social sciences, business, natural sciences, and other areas. Concepts introduced include linear systems, matrices, the simplex method, sets and counting methods, probability, Bayes' theorerm, descriptive statistics, normal and binomial distributions simple and compound interest, annuities and present value, sequences and difference equations. Requires the use of a graphing calculator.
