Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training

The CDL Training program at Glen Oaks Community College prepares students to enter the trucking and transportation industry through hands-on driving instruction and classroom learning. Students gain skills in commercial vehicle operation, pre-trip inspections, backing and maneuvering, road driving techniques, and federal/state transportation regulations. The program prepares students for CDL skills and knowledge exams. Designed as a short-term workforce pathway, it serves residents of southern Michigan and northern Indiana and is open to beginners with no prior truck driving experience.

Prerequisites: Must be 18 or over with a valid driver's license, High school diploma or certificate required, Must complete a medical exam and drug test
