Nursing Program Immunization Policy

This page outlines mandatory immunization and health screening requirements for nursing students participating in clinical experiences. Requirements are set by clinical partners and must be met before the program begins. Students must submit official immunization records signed by a healthcare provider. Required immunizations include MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, annual TB testing, Tdap, annual flu vaccine, and a completed COVID-19 vaccine series. Students who do not meet these requirements will be ineligible for clinical placement and cannot complete the Nursing program.

Prerequisites: Two MMR vaccinations (born 1957 or after) or one MMR with rubella titer (born before 1957), Hepatitis B three-dose series or positive antibody titer, Two Varicella vaccinations or positive titer, Negative TB test annually, One Tdap dose with Td booster every 10 years, Annual flu vaccine, FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine series
