SOP 2002 - Introduction to Social Psychology SOP 2002 - Introduction to Social Psychology 3 credits Social psychology is the scientific study of how people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the presence of others. Through the study of social psychology the student will develop a greater awareness of how they personally affect and are affected by the people in the world around them. This course will examine: how we think about ourselves and others in our social world; how we influence and are influenced by others; and how we interact with others in close relationships and as members of social groups.
