LIT2380 — Introduction to Women in Literature

LIT 2380 - Introduction to Women in Literature LIT 2380 - Introduction to Women in Literature 3 credits This course will cover the literary periods from the Middle Ages through the contemporary era. Students will review, analyze, and assess chosen literary pieces within a chosen text (decided by individual professors) and supplemental material in order to more clearly understand how women authors changed specific literary genres and how they continue to impact the literary canon. The readings will include, but are not limited to, selections of the Western Canon. This writing-intensive course requires a minimum of 4,000 words across multiple college-level, faculty- evaluated written assignments. If completed with a “C” or better, this course will be counted toward partial fulfillment of the Writing Intensive course requirements.
