LAE 3314 - Teaching Language Arts in Elementary School LAE 3314 - Teaching Language Arts in Elementary School 3 credits The course will focus on developmentally appropriate effective instructional strategies for the elementary learner. Multiple methods of instruction and assessment will be explored for facilitating oral and written language development, media literacy, content area literacy, and cooperative learning experiences. The course will be inclusive of state standards, subject matter competencies, appropriate pedagogy, and assessment procedures. 20 hours of field experience is required with this course.
