MGF 1100 - Quantitative Literacy Add to Personal Catalog MGF 1100 - Quantitative Literacy College Requirements Met: AATR This course is designed to prepare you for successful completion of MGF 1130 or MGF 1131 only, and is not a This course is designed to provide the basic numeracy needed by a college graduate to reason quantitatively; that is, to reason about quantities, their magnitudes and their relationships between and among other quantities. This course is non-algorithmic in nature, rather conceptual understanding will be stressed. The course will not fulfill a mathematics requirement for the bachelor of science degree. In this course, students will develop competency in problem solving and analysis ful to personal decision-making as well as to the decision-making needed by an educated citizen of the 21st century. This course touches on number sense, solving linear equations, problem solving, graphing, quantitative reasoning, and spatial reasoning.
