HUM 2454 - African American Humanities Add to Personal Catalog HUM 2454 - African American Humanities College Requirements Met: AATR, GE, GR General Education Area: Group 1 Humanities This course explores African Americans in American culture, surveying their diverse contributions to the visual arts, literature, music, and the performing arts. Emphasis will be placed on analyzing representative works, including works from the Western canon, within historical, social, and philosophical contexts in order for students to understand how they express African American identity.
