Discusses nursing care interventions to promote a safe childbirth experience and teaching for the childbearing family. Focuses on distinguishing normal from abnormal conditions during the reproductive, antepartum, intrapartum, newborn and postpartum periods. This theory course has a concurrent lab course. Credit may be earned in only one of NT 215W, NUR 115W , or NPT 115W .
