Discusses nursing care interventions to promote a safe childbirth experience and teaching for the childbearing family. Focuses on distinguishing normal from abnormal conditions during the reproductive, antepartum, intrapartum, newborn and postpartum periods. This theory course has a concurrent lab course. Credit may be earned in only one of NPT 115W, NUR 115W or NT 215W .
