Uncovering U.S. women from the Colonial Era and the witch trials to the women’s liberation movement of the late 20th century, students will learn how work, politics, and personal life shaped the diversity of women’s lives. Starting with the history of women in the borderlands during the 16 th and 17 th centuries and making our way through the women’s rights movement of the late 20 th century, we will uncover women’s past…as mothers, workers, reformers, leaders, and more. This class will reveal the history of U.S. women from various racial, ethnic, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
