REL2300 — World Religions

An introduction to the study of major reli- gions of the world and the historical framework and philosophies within which they developed. Attention will be given to their origins, nature, classic beliefs, and practices. Among the religions to be considered are Hinduism, Buddhism, East Asian religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Prerequisite: Acceptable placement scores in reading or a grade of “C” or higher in REA 0017. This course has been designated as an international/diversity course.
