EDG2316 — Introduction to Teaching Math and Science

This course is a study of specific math and science content skills required for K-12 teachers by the FLDOE competencies and skills and national/state/ district content standards. Content skills include confident and creative problem- solving; constructing sound mathematical and scientific arguments; applying math and science to everyday life; integrating cutting-edge technologies; and speaking and writing about math and science. Students develop an understanding of the K-12 learning environment effective for mathematics and science teaching. It is required that students complete a series of test prep sessions for the General Knowledge certification exam.
