This course provides the basic welding knowledge and skills necessary to make repairs on ferrous metals used in the marine industry. The course is designed for students with little to no welding experience. Topics include safety techniques, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), an introduction to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and metal cutting.
