This is a multi–disciplinary course that is designed to expand upon the knowledge and skills learned during ISC 2132 Basic Research Diving. Students will learn and apply advanced and technical diving skills while conducting marine research as applied to the fields of marine biology, physical oceanography and marine archaeology. Completion of this course with a C or better fulfills one of the requirements for qualifications as a CFK Advanced Scientific Diver to depths not to exceed 150ft. under the auspices of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences.
