CVT1616C - Ultrasound Physics II CVT1616C - Ultrasound Physics II The student will gain a basic level of comfort in setting up the ultrasound system for a basic examination. He or she will learn to identify and adjust the basic system controls including system set up, image zoom and magnification, and basic measurements. The student will also will learn to explain the issue of ultrasound safety and how to limit exposure to the patient. In laboratory the student will have hands-on experience in setting the system up, selecting transducers, specific application and properly identifying the various components of the system. The student will practice obtaining, optimizing, freezing and analyzing a doppler spectrum. The student will practice obtaining and optimizing color and power doppler images and identifying system controls that will optimize the diagnostic image. Terms Classification: Occupational
