This course provides an introduction to Western ethical theories and approaches applicable to the design and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. It examines specific ethical challenges associated with AI, such as the moral status of intelligent machines, the effects of AI on employment, the ethics of autonomous warfare, and the biases present in the design and use of these technologies.
