This course is designed to provide instruction in he basics of fingerprints. To include the history of fingerprint identification, the anatomy and physiology of friction ridge skin, fingerprint pattern interpretation and classification, taking legible prints, use of biometric systems, ACE-V fingerprint comparison methodology, crime scene documentation and collection of fingerprint evidence, nature of latent prints, processing methods, and courtroom presentation.
